In line with the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the “Act”), Synectics plc and its subsidiaries (“Synectics”, “we”, “our”, the “Group”) remain committed to:
This statement, covering the financial year ending 30 November 2025, is our ninth annual report. It outlines our ongoing approach to addressing modern slavery and human trafficking risks and details the actions we have taken during the year.
Synectics is a leader in the design, integration, and support of advanced security and surveillance solutions that help customers around the world protect people, communities, and assets.
With a head office in the UK, Synectics plc is the parent company of a global group operating through two complementary business models. These models are founded on shared principles that guide how we collaborate with customers, structure our relationships, and build partnerships that enhance our service delivery and market reach.
The Group’s businesses – Synectic Systems and Ocular Integration – enable us to serve a broad range of customer needs across our target markets and geographies. Many of these opportunities lie in challenging or highly complex environments where our specialist expertise is particularly valuable.
Synectic Systems delivers major projects involving the design, development, and deployment of security and surveillance solutions, largely based on our proprietary Synergy technology platform. Operating as a global business, it is supported by offices worldwide to serve its customers.
Ocular Integration is a systems integrator delivering tailored solutions primarily in the UK and Ireland, ranging from electronic systems for complex, critical, or regulated environments to on-vehicle transport systems that enhance the safety of passengers, drivers, and on-board staff.
With consolidated revenue of £55.8 million in 2024, the Group designs, delivers, and manages integrated security and surveillance solutions for some of the world’s most demanding environments.
Our global operations rely on an international supply chain that supports consistent quality and competitive pricing.
Where raw materials are required for equipment production, they are sourced from a diverse range of suppliers worldwide, including the UK. We expect all our suppliers to uphold the same high standards that we apply to ourselves, particularly in relation to modern slavery and human trafficking.
Our supplier contracts include specific prohibitions on the use of forced, compulsory, or trafficked labour, or any individual held in slavery or servitude, whether adult or child. We also require suppliers to cascade these standards throughout their own supply chains.
Our Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy demonstrates our commitment to ethical conduct and integrity across all business relationships. It also underpins the systems and controls we use to prevent slavery and trafficking in our supply chains.
We maintain strict guidelines for vetting new employees, including verifying identity, confirming right to work in the relevant country, and ensuring salary payments are made directly to a personal bank account. We also engage temporary labour through recruitment agencies or third-party providers with whom we hold contracts. It is essential to us that these partners also operate robust processes to confirm legal right to work and prevent any form of forced labour.
We operate a suite of governance policies outlining expected ethical and professional standards, covering areas such as business ethics, anti-bribery and corruption, whistleblowing, corporate and social responsibility, safeguarding, and modern slavery. These governance frameworks are regularly reviewed to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
Our approach to modern slavery and human trafficking continues to focus on:
In the financial year to 30 November 2026, we will continue to:
To build and maintain a strong understanding of modern slavery and human trafficking risks, we provide relevant training as part of our induction programme for all new employees. We will also introduce dedicated Modern Slavery training for all employees during 2026.
All Board Directors and senior management team members have been briefed on the subject.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Synectics’ modern slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 30 November 2025 and will be reviewed and published annually.
